OUR PROCESS

How we authenticate.

No two vintage pieces are exactly alike. Age, collection and place of manufacture can all affect the details, which is why we never authenticate a piece based on one characteristic alone.

First inspection
We assess the piece as a whole: its proportions, construction, weight, shape and overall quality.

Materials & craftsmanship
Leather, canvas, lining, stitching, hardware and finishing are examined against the house, model and period.

The details
Serial numbers, date codes, stamps, engravings, labels and other brand-specific identifiers are carefully examined.

Final verification
Every detail is considered together. Only pieces we’re confident in become part of our collection.
